Cookie and Local Storage Policy
1. What We Store in Your Browser
Our domain does not set cookies. We use your browser's local storage (localStorage), which the law treats the same as cookies:
- Session: the token that keeps you signed in. Strictly necessary. It lasts until you sign out or it expires.
- Preferences: light or dark theme, whether you have seen the welcome screen, and how you arranged your workspace. You choose them. They last until you clear your browser data.
2. The Widget on Our Customers' Websites
When a business installs the SmoothiePlace widget on its website, the widget stores an anonymous identifier and the conversation identifier in the visitor's browser, so the conversation can continue where it left off if they come back. It is stored on that website's domain, not ours, and lasts until the visitor clears their browser data.
The business that installs the widget must inform its visitors. This paragraph can be copied into its policy: "This site uses the SmoothiePlace assistant, which stores an anonymous identifier in your browser to resume your conversation. It is not used for advertising or to track you on other sites."
3. Third-Party Services
- Stripe uses its own cookies on its checkout page to process payments and prevent fraud.
- Google uses its own if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
They are governed by each provider's privacy policy.
4. How to Control It
You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser settings. If you clear the session, you will need to sign in again; if you clear your preferences, they will return to their defaults.
Since we only use what is necessary or chosen by you, we do not ask for separate consent. If we ever add analytics or advertising, we will ask for your permission before turning them on and update this policy.
